About a week ago I started using Twitter again. I have some thoughts.
About a week ago I started using Twitter again. I have some thoughts.
And so ends Golden Week.
After Time Machine kept refusing to backup to a network drive, I wrote a short guide on how to backup a sleeping MacBook’s Time Machine to an external USB disk.
This is probably not a good use of my time but I’ve started an unsolicited rewrite of ClojureScript Unraveled.
I feel like we don’t talk enough about how crazy it is that a film like Pokémon: Detective Pikachu exists.
I don’t know if it’s because I’m using it wrong, but items in Safari’s reading list never disappear properly when read on my Mac. Works fine on iOS but on macOS the item remains in the list. I have to manually mark it as read to have it disappear.
My daughter just told me she wasn’t playing with her ‘jelly button’.
In Thomas & Friends, are the tenders sentient? Seems more likely that they’d be akin to a body part for the engine. But if that’s the case, do the engines maintain a psychic connection even when not directly coupled?
I watch too much of this show.
I guess this is now a thing that I do but I’ve written again about the podcasts I’m listening to.
How is it that it’s 2019 and there’s still no streaming service I can pay to watch Law & Order?
I’m thinking of braving the crowds and heading back to Disneyland sometime this Golden Week. The rational part of my brain tells me this is a terrible idea.
After watching my kids leap around for 10 minutes, I’ve come to the inescapable conclusion that the world would be a better place if it were entirely made out of jumping castles.
You know how women are biologically programmed to forget the pain of childbirth so that after a period of time they want to have kids again?
I’m like that but for Westworld.
According to the doctor, I have compressed the radial nerve in my left arm and that’s what’s causing the problem. He said it should go away in 2-3 weeks. Good news!
A couple of days ago, I woke up after a short nap and part of the back of my left hand was numb. It’s still like that. I’m going to see a doctor today but now’s not the best time for a 10-day period in which the country shuts down.
I’ve been trying a time-restricted eating regimen for the past two months. It helped me lose a few kilos but hasn’t seemed to have much effect after that. I’ve decided to resume eating breakfast and lunch but will aim to eat salads.
It shits me to an unreasonable extent that Twitter capitalises the word ‘tweet’.
I love the little details in The Matrix. One of my favourites is that the song Neo is listening to in the scene immediately after Trinity disappears at the beginning of the film is Massive Attack’s ‘Dissolved Girl’.
I couldn’t agree more with this post by @brentsimmons. I have a difficult time ever seeing myself switching to Linux but if this trend continues, that looks to me like the only refuge.
I finally had a bit of time to catch up on the game between the Spurs and Nuggets from the weekend and I’m about ready to give up on this playoff run. Watching the Spurs throw away double-digit leads in games 2 and 4 is dispiriting. 🏀
