Finished reading Howl’s Moving Castle to the kids last night (they honestly slept through most of it) and it’s really good. I think the twist at the end doesn’t withstand much scrutiny but I loved it for Sophie. Jones’ ability to write from inside her perspective is remarkable.

In Gmail, if you have an e-mail partway down a list selected, is there a keyboard shortcut to jump the selection back to the topmost e-mail? I’m not seeing one.
After waiting more than six months for them to be released, I’m very disappointed to say that I’m returning the new AirPods. I really wanted to like them but the new design doesn’t fit my ears and I find squeezing the stem to be greatly inferior to tapping the unit.
If the plan in putting the horrible tab interface in Safari 15 was to get you to upgrade to Monterey the day it came out, well, mission accomplished, Apple.
If I open a new tab in Safari and then close that same tab, Safari should return me to the tab I was in originally. Instead it moves me to one of the adjacent tabs.
I wish there were a setting in Safari where you could manually set prefers-color-scheme
. I run my Mac in dark mode but never want webpages to be in dark mode.
