It’s 2022 and iCloud Tabs is still broken across my Mac, iPad and iPhone. Old tabs I’ve long since closed on one device continue to show up in the list of open tabs I see on other devices. It’s maddening.

Signed up for Twitter Blue without realising that it doesn’t remove ads. That’s my fault but I then immediately cancelled it. Given I’ve never intentionally clicked on a Twitter ad in my life, seems like a lost opportunity for Twitter.
If the market is settling on the view that the Apple Watch is for (1) identity, (2) notifications, (3) fitness and (4) audio content, I’d note that a smartband would do 3 out of 4 of those pretty well.
Just signed up for Last.fm Pro purely to change my username and it was absolutely worth it. I’m disappointed that ‘pyrmont’ is taken by someone who has apparently never used the service but still.
There really should be a way to restart a non-responsive HomePod Mini that doesn’t require you to physically unplug it. I can’t be the only person for whom the power point is incredibly inconvenient to reach.
Just bought rcmd. I don’t think right-command is the correct hotkey to use but it works fantastically with right-control.
I’ve been perplexed by the term witness table recently. It’s used in the Swift compiler and everyone seems to treat it like a term of art everyone knows. I asked about its origins on the Swift forums and got a nice answer from @pathofshrines! Constructive logic!
The existence of Bowser, Jr. raises a lot of complicated questions I’m not sure are ever adequately addressed by the writers.
I’m in awe at SectorLISP.
I fear I risk putting my nerd credibility in jeopardy but I really quite like the official Reddit iOS app.
There’s a weird thing with some 90s R&B where a song is censored but there’s no apparent ‘explicit’ version (e.g. Lauryn Hill’s ‘Doo Wop (That Thing)’). For ‘Doo Wop’ there is an explicit version on this vinyl edition but that’s it.
I’m feeling very conflicted about the upcoming continuation of the original Law & Order (i.e. the best Law & Order). It was really running on fumes at the end. Twenty is a nice round number that made it feel like a completed work.
It’s been a long time but Inbox Zero again!
Managed to get the iPad set up earlier to watch the Ashes series between Australia and England. Just in time to see the third wicket fall :)
