I’m checking out Slack on macOS and it looks pretty good. The way the highlighted row on a channel name is visible underneath the scrollbar for the channel list is a bit weird but definitely beats Electron.

I assume I’m in the minority but Overcast’s new Apple Watch app has been a step backwards for me. It looks like a superior standalone player but what I really want is a rock-solid remote (which the previous version was, for all its flaws).
I’ve been listening to a lot of the Tenet soundtrack recently.
I try not to gripe too much about things but Slack using their own custom context menu in text fields (which always shows cut and copy even if nothing is selected) is driving me crazy.

I am obsessed with the idea that they should make a prequel series to Monk about Monk and Stottlemeyer. It’s got to the point where my wife has banned me from mentioning this idea lest I bring it up every time she watches the show.
I almost missed an appointment yesterday until receiving an alert on my Mac that I needed to leave if I was going to make it on public transport. Definitely had that moment of feeling like I’m living in the future.
I’ve upgraded Pondent to newer versions of most of the packages it uses. The Clojure ones were a cinch, the JavaScript ones… took longer.
Finished watching the Empire Strikes Back with the kids. They didn’t seem that surprised by the ‘I am your father’ revelation.
It’s disappointing how little the Kindle has advanced in the past couple of years.

As crazy as this might sound, I just found out there’s a post-credits scene in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. It is delightful.
