I hope I can push this project publicly soon!
I hope I can push this project publicly soon!
And this one is from last Friday.
Eep, I neglected to cross-post this weeknote.
I think @rtfeldman.bsky.social has said that @zed.dev has the best Vim bindings of any editor that isn’t, you know, Vim. I agree.
It doesn’t look like SuperDuper 4 likes the sparse disk image I was using with SuperDuper 3. I’ve created a new disk image and will see if tonight’s backup successfully completes.
My C->Zig port of the Janet programming language is passing Janet’s test suite without any .c files!
Not to say that @siracusa.social is wrong but I‘m using a coding agent in a Zig project and filled up my disk to the point where I was getting syscall errors saying that there was no space. macOS seemed to handle it like a champ. (I quickly cleaned up caches so it wasn’t prolonged use.)
I used Claude and Codex to get to a working version of Persimmon, my technically-in-development-but-really-just-abandoned C library for persistent immutable data structures.
I got Claude to set itself up so that when it wants my attention for anything, it causes Ghostty’s Dock icon to jump and make the background of the label of the relevant tmux window a tasteful yellow. I assume this is what it felt like in prior generations to make a spice rack.
So demonstrating that I am well and truly in my 40s, I report to you that Ninajirachi’s album, I Love My Computer, is very good.
Toy Story 5 is good.
