I’m sure some of this is my privilege as a white man but I find the constant doomerism about the Internet tiresome (e.g. this episode of the paid podcast Sharp Tech). I’ve been on the Internet since 1996 and still find it such a marvel.
So it turns out that if you pair AirPods with a Steam Deck and then pair them with an Apple device, you’ll be able to have it switch between both. This must have been how Faraday felt.

This seems so obvious that I’m almost sure I’m missing the counterargument but my central problem with existential risk people is that they cloak their analysis in the language of probabilities but how can these probabilities be properly assessed? You can’t run experiments.
