I’m calling bullshit on Music.app (née iTunes). It is not updating the artist artwork. That’s a lie.
Started watching DC Super Girls this weekend and am enjoying it a lot. Really like the art direction.
I’m convinced nobody has ever used a router’s Wi-Fi Protected Setup.
Related to the earlier post: I was full of snark when Apple abandoned its ‘the future of TV is apps’ strategy but now that there a bunch of good streaming apps (e.g. Disney+), I wish Apple would return to it.
I’d be more interested in Apple TV+ if it had a dedicated app that displayed only its catalogue. I don’t want to use the Apple TV app and have to navigate a combination of my iTunes purchases, Apple TV+, other video services and a storefront for channels.
I mentioned this in my most recent weeknotes but Apple Music recently started featuring the ‘Michael Camilleri’ radio station in the For You section and it is excellent.
I replaced Phone with Messages in my iPhone’s dock and it feels like the most momentous decision I’ve made in a decade.
Oh, and having kids.
The story in the Sydney Morning Herald about Dyson Heydon’s serial sexual assaults has left me absolutely disgusted with the legal profession. I’m ashamed to be a member.
Do we understand why QuickPath (i.e. Apple’s Swype) doesn’t work on the full size keyboard on iPadOS? Why do I need to be using the floating keyboard?
Really happy this got past the Wikipedia editors.
Japan’s official COVID-19 app is out and I’m happy to see it both uses Apple’s exposure notification API and is available outside the Japanese App Store.
I wish Overcast’s Watch complication was pure black with accent colours rather than greyscale.
I’m liking the new look to GitHub that’s in feature preview.
Dave is my coolest friend. (Sorry, Tom, Rob and Nadia.)
Ugh. The Japanese Disney+ service is largely a reskinned version of the Disney Theatre service that Docomo was providing. The tvOS app is not good, it doesn’t support multiple users and Disney+ users from other jurisdictions can’t use their apps.
I’m pleased to report that moving the wireless access point from the third story of our house to the first floor appears to have fixed the Internet connectivity issues we were experiencing.
